KA Tidal Ring

This bold and striking statement ring, through its smooth curvature, evokes a feeling of the movement found within the sea. In a departure from the fine rings found across other Kirstin Ash collections, this distinct and beautifully crafted ring could be coupled the Treasure Coin Ring and Fossil Shell Ring, which also form part of the By The Sea capsule. For the KA fine ring aficionados the Tidal Ring will sit beautifully alongside your delicate treasures.

Please note, the tidal ring has been updated so it is made with a satin finish. This this slightly different to the polished finish shown in the product photo, however the satin finish reduces the appearance of marks and scratches.

MATERIALS

Made with a sterling silver base and plated in 18k gold vermeil. Vermeil is an historical French plating method which uses a palladium barrier layer and heavy 18k gold or rose gold plating.

By The Sea marks the first major collaboration collection for Kirstin Ash. This collection by Kirstin Ash and Olive Rose Cooke is inspired by their respective journeys living By The Sea. For both women, life spent along the water's edge means quiet reflective moments sitting on the end of a jetty in the cool of an autumn afternoon; it's spending time pouring over the pages of a book in the nook of their homes. It's cherishing a slow pace and the space to be still, it's honouring the simplicity found in nature - in all its perfectly imperfect forms; and it's a love of cosy sea shacks and bachs.

Mother of Pearl, Keshi Pearls, Baroque Pearls, satin finishes together with a mix of 18K gold and 18K rose gold vermeil plating, feature prominently throughout this collection. True to the very nature that inspired it, each piece within this collection is unique. The pearls used throughout By The Sea are some of the most fascinating organic gems available. Each has its own shape, size and natural variation. A treasure seeker's fossicking dream.

This collection was shot on location at Satellite Island, in the heart of the magnificent D'Entrecasteaux Channel, in the south of Tasmania.
